Cerro de Guadalupe, Bogotá

At more than 3,300 meters high, a 15-meter sculpture of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception, patron saint of the Archdiocese of Bogotá, rests on the hills of Bogotá. Bogotanos and tourists come to this place to fulfill promises or simply to enjoy the beautiful view that this hill has towards the capital.

There a small chapel in which stands a 15-meter-high sculpture of the Virgin Mary, the work of the Bogota artist, Gustavo Arcila Uribe, adorns the city and receives every Sunday at 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 m. and the first Sundays of each month the Masses are at 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 m. to which hundreds of parishioners go in search of blessings and a time of recreation in the city.

To get to Guadeloupe in a private vehicle, take the Circunvalar avenue and then the road to the municipality of Choachí. At kilometer 6.7 you will find a detour to the right which will take you to the sanctuary. But if your option is the public service you can take a bus on 6th Street with Carrera 15, next to the Bogotá Metropolitan Police station.
